I'm like Michael Phelps (other than the money, fame, fast swimming, and all those Olympic Medals)... I don't tell anyone my goals except my coach... who is me... so this year, nobody knows for sure. ;)

Hi Glenn...I am Phelp's coach..don't worry I won't reveal them. :)

Responded Sep 09, 2008 06:01PM

Why would I tell Phelp's coach? He doesn't have anything to do with me.

Hm, well, let's see. Staying healthy and injury free, making the finals at the SA Nationals, winning a medal or two in other swim meets and going on a nice vacation like the one I had just last weekend :) I feel, that it will be a good year for me.

:) SPRINTER. If you want to stay injury free... GET OFF THOSE ROCKS! Wait... that could be taken the wrong way... sloooowly, climb down off those rocks, careful selecting your toe and finger grasp positions. :)

Very cool... looks like great fun, but I'm afraid of heights and falling, so it's not for me. :)

That's really pity, because it is a lot of fun indeed. I love free climbing. Last weekend was the first time I did it. I am bit hyperactive ("a bit", hahaha) and was climbing with a firend of mine for 4h. He was showing me on which part of the cliffs to hold on to, where to put my feet etc. Some parts were really tricky. But it wasn't dangerous at all... well, if you just let go it would be haha. You should have seen him climbing. He's like spiderman hahaha.
The coolest part of the climbing were the leppard paw prints in the sand on the ground. I am glad mama lepard wasn't home.
This short vacation was so great, that the monday after that even more stupid than usual :D

I'd climb them as long as I wasn't more than 6 feet off the ground. :)

Strange, this topic is slowly going from the years goals to rock climbing. Are you starting climbing sprinter ? or have you been doing this a long time ? I love that sport. France is great for free climbing. But with my schedule and swimming I haven't climbed anything since 2003.

Which brings back to goals. I just want to do a very good 400 medley and 1500 freestyle at the long course French championship in July (I'll keep the time to myself).

Hi Philippe. OK, I know who is the Philippe from Facebook. :)

That was my first ever free climbing. I love it but I am not really starting with climbing. I am way too busy swimming. When I am not in the pool I do all sports that I can get access to. I would even play rugby and drive dirty bikes, if I had that chance. But don't tell my mom, ok? ;)
